How many Christians are
in the USA
Approximately 62%–69% of U.S. adults identify as Christian, totaling roughly 235
million people,
with the population stabilizing in recent years after a long decline. While
Protestants (roughly 40–45%)
and Catholics (19–22%) make up the largest groups, the religiously unaffiliated
(“nones”)
now represent roughly 29% of the population.
